New Micro Bioreactor System for Cell Line Development

Having trouble viewing this email? View in Browser.
ambr replicates the characteristics of classical bioreactors at microscale (10 - 15ml),
by using cost effective, disposable micro bioreactors, controlled by an automated
workstation.
ambr enables the rapid evaluation of multiple bioreactor cultures at microscale, increasing productivity in cell line development with significant savings on materials and labour.
The NEW ambr 'process animation' provides an interactive, close-up view of the micro bioreactor in use - from the initial media addition through to final sampling.

Following extensive R&D in collaboration with leading bioprocessing groups, the first automated ambr workstations are now available – offering parallel processing and evaluation of 24 OR 48 bioreactor experiments in an automated bench top system.

ambr features and benefits include:

  • Closely mimics the conditions of larger scale bioreactors at microscale
  • Simplified adoption of Quality by Design (QbD) principles for cell culture development
  • Significant reduction in cost per experiment
  • More experiments with less operator time for set up and clean down

The ambr FAQs page provides answers to the key issues surrounding this innovative system. You can also ask us a question if not addressed on the FAQs.

Questions and answers include:

  • How similar is ambr to a classical bioreactor?
  • Which cell lines can I use?
  • Can I do the same type of experiments as I do today in 2 and 5L bioreactors?
  • How does it maintain aseptic conditions?

ambr 'interactive' features

  • A video demonstration of the ambr workstation
  • An interactive tour of the ambr micro bioreactor
  • The ambr micro bioreactor 'process animation' showing the micro bioreactor in use - from initial media addition through to final sampling.
